Paul Coviello received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College as well as further certification as an Orthopedic Specialist (OCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association. Paul’s post-doctoral education took place in a clinic focusing on chronic spine pain in Atlanta, Georgia, providing him with unique experience in the world of spine and pain care. Paul has a particular interest in treating neck and shoulder conditions and has published an article in the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy on managing shoulder conditions using Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. Paul’s approach is highly focused on the educational component of healthcare while using hands on techniques to modulate pain, and progressing patients using the most up to date research on strength and conditioning. Paul also enjoys helping patients manage complex spinal conditions, cycling injuries, and patients who have had poor results with prior physical therapy.
personal interests
Born and raised in Summit, Paul was a member of the 2009 State Champion Football and 2010 State Champion Lacrosse teams and grew up playing ice hockey too. He continued his Football career at Ithaca College as an offensive lineman. Paul’s passions outside of the clinic include cycling, weightlifting, as well as playing the guitar and drums. Paul also participates in the local cycling community by leading rides for bike shops and clubs and is the go-to physical therapist that gets cyclists back on their bikes after injuries or surgery.
